Specialists from German-based GJS, experts in push rod pipe inspection technology, recently spent ten days in New Zealand sharing their in-depth knowledge with the BurrowTech team.
This will enable BurrowTech not just to supply, but also to train clients across New Zealand and Australia, and to service camera inspection units in New Zealand, rather than sending them back to Germany.
Dieter Finke, GJS Sales, who made the trip to BurrowTech’s Christchurch office says partnership with another business is not something his company takes lightly. “Both need to be working for each other.” He says he respects the expertise and the drive of the BurrowTech team.
GJS provides an all-in-one pipe and drainage inspection system. that suits pipes large and small; from household to major infrastructure.
Critical for sign-off on new pipe installation, the inspection technology is also invaluable to spotting problems in existing lines, and in renovation projects. Dieter says the flexible, durable systems are used around 80% for water and wastewater pipes but also for less expected tasks, including inspection of wind turbines and stainless-steel tube welding. They also operate in extreme conditions, including in the Swiss Alps where access and temperatures are challenging, and arid and sandy areas.
GJS systems are deployed around the globe, including Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, and Spain. Dieter says there are cheaper options, but “You get what you pay for!”
The camera systems from GJS are particularly impressive thanks to their sophisticated, ultra-robust design and intuitive operation – even in demanding environments. The proven technology is already being used successfully in 20 countries around the world. Particularly impressive is the permanent laser nominal width measurement, which makes inspections even more precise and meaningful – a real advantage in day-to-day work.
BurrowTech has exclusive distribution for Australasia.
Hayden from BurrowTech, says it was amazing to meet Dieter and Florian Frischeisen , who works in service/repairs, when they visited. “We learnt so much. And it’s going to add so much value for civil, council, and commercial clients in New Zealand and Australia.”
