The Kiwi business provides trenchless pipe maintenance and rehabilitation including; CCTV inspection cameras, robotics, pipe plugs including sealing cushions, blocking plugs, pipe test plugs, large bypass plugs and point repair packers, along with felt liners, UV liners, flumes, and drain cleaning.
Founder, Hayden Powell, can trace his interest in diggers back to his schooldays, but he says times have moved on. “What we provide is an alternative that is a low disruption, cost effective solution to pipe and drain remediation. It saves councils countless money and manhours, while providing a proven lasting solution to infrastructure headaches.”
BurrowTech sources trenchless products from the world’s best. And the team travels to major industry events to ensure that they, and New Zealand councils, have access to new any new breakthroughs, ideas and innovations.
Hayden says the BurrowTech team shares the knowledge they’ve gained. “We provide mentorship, advice, and education because we believe that delivers value.”

Glenn, who has a background in civil contracting, oversees the company’s strategic direction, financial planning, and human resources—ensuring BurrowTech continues delivering technical excellence and client-focused innovation.
With 13 years of civil sector experience, Hayden has spent the past 3 years specialising in trenchless technology. He has successfully delivered a range of relining solutions across New Zealand, utilizing methods such as spiral wound, CIPP, and GRP slip-lining to ensure optimal outcomes for each project.
A nationally recognised trenchless rehabilitation expert, Simon has spent over 15 years in the water infrastructure industry. Simon has led major public works projects— including earthquake recovery, trunk sewer upgrades, and Australasia’s largest UV-CIPP installations—ensuring high performance, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Geoff Powell brings an impressive 44 years of experience in building and nurturing business relationships in civil contracting and infrastructure. His ability to develop networks, and facilitate solutions is unrivalled.
